The Butterfly Effect
A solitary figure sits in quiet contemplation as butterflies rise and drift away - a meditation on how small moments ripple across time and distance.
This mixed-media collage layers vintage mailing envelopes, postcards, and ephemera from the 1930s-1960s, each carrying fragments of handwritten French correspondence, postal marks from California to France, airmail stickers, and canceled stamps. The worn paper tells stories of connection across oceans, while the drawn figure - caught in a moment of release or longing - watches transformation take flight.
The golden butterfly becomes both memory and possibility, hovering between what was written and what remains unspoken.

Each piece of correspondence in this work once carried someone's words across the world. Now they form the foundation for a new story about how tiny actions - a letter sent, a butterfly's wing - can change everything
