Stormy Pink

I frequently get asked, "Your style is so unique, how do you paint like this?"
The real answer is, that I've developed this technique over years.  If you look at my early work or even just last year, it has evolved as I've added more layers.  I'm just squishing paint out of tubes and moving it around with putty knives.  But the answer I love is, "I know!  I've been doing this a long time and I love to see how the paint mixes and moves and becomes what it's supposed to become.  It surprises me and I step back and am awed too."  Like this snippet on a much larger piece.  The pink looks like it's bursting out of those darker blues and blacks.  The red at the top saying,"Hey Pink!  I see you.  I love what you're doing."  This makes me happy.
