2020! Wow. No one expects a global pandemic. I hope you and yours are healthy. If you, or someone you know has gotten COVID-19, my heart goes out to you. It's happened in my family and it's scary.
I have to admit that I've been challenged to "move-the-needle-on-the-record" - From art shows to pop-up shows. From my winter home show to a late-fall front yard show. From making art every day to putting on leather gloves and gutting and re-building a flip-house with my family all summer. I've definitely been moved out of my groove.
2020 reminds me of Calvin, with his dad talking about hard things building character.
So, I haven't loved 2020. BUT, I have to admit that I've grown more, created art I wouldn't have had time to create, spent quality time with my family building a beautiful house and still sold lots of art. Yes, this year has built character.
I hope you rise from 2020 like a beautiful Phoenix: stronger, wiser, and recognizing that challenges shape a perspective and develop our personal stories.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year
