... and then it was 2023

I love the ceremonies of getting ready for Christmas.

My home show is usually the last Friday of November so we set up the tree, and hang it with decorations that each carry a memory. My boys (more men now), decorate the mantle with the memories that didn't make it onto the tree. When they're done that's sort of the beginning of it for me.

I shop for my lovelies throughout the year and December becomes a small treasure hunt to remember where I hid presents. I convert my studio workspace into a wrap station with all the paper, bows, ribbons, gift tags, and tape a wrapper will need.

And then, just like that, it's another memory I get to savor (dinner and games with my family, the enjoyment of seeing gifts opened, watching my dad make eggs on Christmas morning).

So here we are. Hello 2023. It's nice to see you. I have high hopes and can't wait to make them happen. I'm putting my show schedule together this year (Cherry Creek I'm looking at you), and looking to add another state to my map. I can't wait to see you.

Love,
Lisa
